Mechanic

The mechanic performs service and installation activities associated with Big O maintenance and repair services in a safe, accurate, and timely manner. Responsibilities include brake work, suspension work, exhaust work, under-hood services, performing safety checks, and test driving customer vehicles, while adhering to company safety rules and standards.

Salesperson

The salesperson educates guests on vehicle manufacturer’s recommendations, explaining service benefits and offering services while providing superior guest service. Responsibilities include greeting guests, entering guest information into the computer system, reviewing vehicle inspections, explaining services, and ensuring all parts and services are accurately recorded and billed.

Manager in Training

The Manager in Training (MIT) is responsible for overseeing store operations, personnel, facilities, guest service, safety, sales, and profitability at a Big O location. Responsibilities include managing staff, ensuring guest satisfaction, maintaining cleanliness, controlling expenses, addressing guest complaints, and assisting in all areas of the business, with a focus on training and developing a competent management team.

Tire Technician

The Tire Technician handles service and installation activities related to Big O automotive maintenance and tire services safely and accurately. Duties include mounting, dismounting, balancing, repairing, and inspecting tires, along with performing alignment checks, oil changes, fluid checks, and battery installations, all while following company procedures and safety rules.

Service Manager

The Service Manager assists the General Manager in the daily operation of a Big O Service Center, assuming full operational control in their absence. Responsibilities include leading and managing staff, ensuring completion of services, maintaining guest vehicle safety, handling guest complaints, and following company procedures, while also performing all essential functions of a salesperson.

General Manager

The Tire Center Manager oversees all activities within their Big O location, including store operations, personnel management, guest service, safety, sales, and profitability. Responsibilities include managing staff, ensuring guest satisfaction, controlling expenses, marketing the unit, maintaining cleanliness, and addressing guest complaints, all while adhering to company policies and procedures.
